Tangible Inc. is a web agency and software development company specialized in Online Learning and WordPress.
How we work
Our company has a loose management structure. Individuals are generally expected to be self-sufficient, not waiting to reach out to more experienced or in-context team members when they run into problems.
🛟 Get help
You can send anyone on the team a message in Slack, and you'll get a friendly reply (though not always immediately, yay asynchronous communication 🤓). Several of our more experienced team members offer free-form Office Hour calls on a recurring basis to make it easier to get their help. The schedule can be found in your Google Calendar, and can also be viewed here.
📚 Start your training
Tangible hires people with lots of experience and people with little experience. If you're a trainee, someone may have mentioned the name of a person you can get help from as you start getting yourself into context and learning the ropes. If nobody's reached out to you, consider sending that team member a message on Slack to introduce yourself, and let them know about what interests you and where you're starting from on your learning journey. Tangible is a great place to learn, and even I (Julia) and Gabriel (Tangible's CEO) started out as complete newbies with no experience in the field and learnt as we worked. Our hope is that we can empower our team with access to helpful tools and experienced people and give you everything you need to excel!

If you're here, we've seen a spark of creativity and potential in you, and we like you! We hope you'll integrate yourself into the team so that we can get to know you better, so if you're up for a bit of socialization head over to the #general channel in Slack and introduce yourself to the team. We want to know a bit about you on the professional side, but definitely include any hobbies or interests you'd like us to know about too!
Tangible is a bit of a second family, if you want it to be. We help each other out, talk things out, we joke and share memes, we even compiled a Spotify playlist of our weird music tastes (we should really keep adding to it, it's been awhile)! We occasionally have scheduled social meetups in our Discord, at very least a yearly Christmas party. Join us over there if you'd like, there are some gamers on the team!

- 🤢 #not-soup Mostly Gabriel's posts of horrific food photos. Not for the faint-of-stomach
- 🎮 #minecrafting Social gaming. We have a Tangible Minecraft server, though it's been a little while since we built anything crazy

IRL Meetups
We've had two Canadian/French team meetups in Montreal, and one each in Romania and the Philippines. It's not a common occurence but it's always a great time!
